Autumn Splendor Show Friday, Nov 6 10:00a to 9:00pat Village Artists, Columbia, SC. The Autumn Splendor show will feature fall themed art works through Nov 15 at Village Artists gallery.More than 250 pieces of art are being offered for sale by 28 local artists who work in watercolor, acrylic, oil and other specialized media.  The paintings and other media start at $20 and range up to $8,000.  Browsing is encouraged. Artists frequently paint in the windows of the gallery and art classes are offered throughout the year.

37 Th Annual Governors Cup Road Race Saturday, Nov 7 8:00aat South Carolina State House, Columbia, SC. One of South Carolina’s marquee running events, this race features a series of events over the weekend, including the half marathon, an 8K run, a 4-mile walk and a kids’ fun run.The scenic course begins in downtown Columbia and ends at the historic Horseshoe of the University of South Carolina. Along the way, participants will enjoy the beauty of Five Points and Shandon.

In only year three of business, Solstice Kitchen & Wine Bar is considered by many to be Columbia’s best restaurant. The menu is true to the name “Solstice” as it “changes with the seasons”.
